It also reported Apple’s customer loyalty in the UK would see its share increase when the new iPhone is released, with 92 per cent of iPhone users reporting that they plan to get another Apple handset when they upgrade.
Samsung has increased its European market share to 45 per cent, while RIM has found its share in the UK fall to 10.9 per cent, compared to 21.6 per cent at the same point of last year, according to market data company Kantar Worldpanel ComTech,bague chanel.
According to its latest figures, thanks to Samsung’s dominance, Android has retained its place as Britain’s top-selling OS boasting a 59.5 per cent share of phones sold in the last 12 weeks, compared to 4.7 per cent share over the same period in 2011.
Kantar Worldpanel ComTech global consumer insight director Dominic Sunnebo said: “While the majority of noise is focused on big-name products such as the S3 or S2, it’s easy to forget that Samsung is selling smartphones across all tiers. As a result it now makes up five out of the top ten best selling smartphones in Britain with even the smartphone/tablet hybrid Samsung Galaxy Note making it into the top ten.”
The company also reported RIM’s falling market share is now down to 10.9 per cent in the UK with Windows Phone’s share of the OS market stable at around 3 per cent.

The upgrade will be available for download through LG Mobile’s homepage or by visiting a service centre in markets where Optimus L-Series are sold. It is being offered in regions including the UK and will be available globally by the end of Q3.
LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company vice president of marketing centre Paul Bae said: “The QuickMemo is one of the representing features for LG’s UX (user experience) to enhance the quality of communication by sharing ideas with more presentation.”
The roll-out of the upgrade will be accompanied by a global TV commercial with the theme of ‘Connect to What’s Real’.

LG has introduced a new screen capture feature for its Optimus L-Series smartphones.
Once the update has been downloaded, users will be able to invoke QuickMemo by pressing the volume keys or via the notification bar.

Samsung is to launch its Galaxy Note 10.1 device later this month, an extension to its Galaxy Note product portfolio.

Users can also search, obtain information and drag and drop the cropped images and content onto S Notes without having to switch between screens.

It is powered by a 1.4GHz processor and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It houses a five megapixel main camera, 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera,sdk android, HD video playback and recording, along with either 16, 32 or 64GB of internal memory, expandable by up to 64GB with a microSD card.
It features S Note, which enables users to combine notes or sketches together with web content, images and other digital media into their own personalised storyboards.
Also featured on the Note 10.1 is Samsung’s Hubs, Apps, ChatON and AllShare Play services.
Students can watch a lecture streamed live on the device while making notes on S Note, and can also read a full textbook while annotating it.
